Enormous emphasis and importance, is placed on the quality of service provided to our guests in ensuring that their individual personal needs are fully met - your comfort, and well being, is of paramount importance to us.
The day to day welfare of our guests is ably undertaken by our General Assistants - affectionately known as our ‘Girls in Blue’ - who are on duty by day and night. They are a highly experienced team, of friendly and dedicated people, all of whom are first aid trained. The primary responsibility of our General assistants is the enjoyment, and well being, of all who stay at The Rest.
They are untiring in providing entertainment, and social activities, for every one. Their input is invaluable and their efforts are always much appreciated by everyone who spends time with us.
An invaluable feature is our emergency alarm call system, which has proven to be a great asset, in our endeavour to provide a safe and trouble free environment.
Fitted in all bedrooms, and public areas, the alarm system features emergency pull cords that, when activated, are responded to immediately by trained members of the Hotel staff.
A wide variety of mobility equipment is available upon request, ranging from walking aids to more personal items. On making a reservation, a booking form containing a detailed list of available mobility equipment, is included for your selection if required. This service is free of charge to our guests, as part of our service.
We also have a varied supply of electric scooters and wheel chairs, which many of our guests find extremely beneficial. They can be used inside the building and also within the Hotel’s extensive grounds.
For those who may not be familiar with this type of equipment, our General Assistants are able to give free tuition, however complete competency in their use must be demonstrated before solo use is allowed.
There is a small weekly hire charge for this service, the proceeds from which are used for the maintenance, and servicing, of these invaluable items of equipment.
The Hotel is able to arrange external professional assistance, for anyone that may need additional support during your stay.
